1. Delete and anonymize your Craigslist information
Log in by visiting www.craigslist.org in your web browser, which will direct you to your regional Craigslist sub-site. Enter each of your choice categories and remove as much data as you can, or at the very least, replace it with something arbitrary. To delete what is now in the boxes and maybe replace it with gibberish, simply click in the boxes and press the “Backspace” key. 2. Contact Craigslist directly to delete your account
Click the boxes in the screenshot above that are highlighted, then type the following (from top to bottom):
- Your name
- The email address associated with your Craigslist account
- The subject of your message (e.g. something like “Please Close My Account”)
- A request to close your account, and an explanation for why you want to do so
