Do you wish to be taken off Craig Newark’s list of advertisers? Maybe one of the competing services we discussed in our article on Craigslist alternatives piques your curiosity. We regret to inform you that there is no quick and simple solution to remove your account on Craigslist.
You might, however, attempt to get in touch with Craigslist directly to see if they’ll help you cancel your account. And even if they don’t, there are steps you can take to limit the data left on your Craigslist account so that anyone attempting to access it won’t find it very useful.
Let’s talk about how you can go about doing this.
How do I delete my Craigslist account?
There are two procedures you must follow in order to remove your Craigslist account. To make your account anonymous, first log in and change the personal information on your Craigslist account with random characters. Second, get in touch with Craigslist customer support and request that your account be deactivated.
Looking for further information on what must be done in order to close your Craigslist account? Below is a list of all the specific steps you need to take to delete your Craigslist account.
1. Delete and anonymize your Craigslist information
Log in by visiting www.craigslist.org in your web browser, which will direct you to your regional Craigslist sub-site. Enter each of your choice categories and remove as much data as you can, or at the very least, replace it with something arbitrary. To delete what is now in the boxes and maybe replace it with gibberish, simply click in the boxes and press the “Backspace” key. Your email address is the only exception because you might need it to log back into your account to fix an issue.
