How to View Full Site on iPhone: Facebook, Linkedin, Youtube, Amazon Full Site

Most websites default to their mobile versions when accessed from an iPhone due to the small size of mobile screens and the frequently unreliable nature of mobile connections. But how can an iPhone user view the entire site?

You might be asking how to convert to a desktop version because so many of those mobile sites are quite simple and constrained.

The good news is that there are really a number of ways to do it, and it’s not just possible:

How to View Full Site on iPhone

To view a full site on iPhone:

  • Load your site in your phone’s Safari app
  • Tap the AA icon to the left of your iPhone address bar
  • Select the “Request Desktop Website” option

To always view the full site:

  • Open your site in Safari
  • Tap the AA icon where you see your site URL
  • Select “Website Settings”
  • Activate the “Request Desktop Website” slider

To always request full sites on Safari

  • Go to the Settings app and there tap “Safari”
  • Scroll down to “Request Desktop Website”
  • Activate the “Other Websites” option

Amazon Full Site

To access Amazon’s full site on iPhone:

  • Load amazon.com in the Safari app on your device
  • Scroll to the very bottom of the page
  • Tap the “Go to Desktop Site” link
Even if the Amazon PC version is a little too crowded for a mobile device, it is still very functional. You’ll be urged to download Amazon’s app, so be ready to press the “No” button.

Linkedin Full Site

The good news is that the built-in capability of the iPhone will function even though LinkedIn doesn’t appear to give a way to load their entire site:

  • Load linkedin.com in your iPhone’s Safari app and login using your Linkedin account details
  • Tap the AA icon to the left of your iPhone address bar
  • Select the “Request Desktop Website” option

Facebook Full Site

Instead of utilizing the Facebook app, all you have to do to visit the entire Facebook website on your iPhone is log in to your account using Safari.

  • Type facebook.com in Safari address bar
  • Login using your Facebook account details
  • Reject an option to download their official app

Youtube Full Site

Although your iPhone’s browser won’t give you the choice to open a desktop site when you access YouTube, you may still do so by using a built-in feature:

  • Load youtube.com using iPhone’s Safari app
  • Tap the AA icon to the left of your iPhone address bar
  • Select the “Request Desktop Website” option

Conclusion

Typically, mobile sites are underdeveloped or too simple. You can use these tricks to access any website’s full version, even the default version. If you have any difficulties using any site’s full version, please let us know.
