How to Create a Yahoo! Account
You can access a variety of services, including email, calendar, and contacts, with a free Yahoo account. Here’s how to create a Yahoo account if you’re interested in getting started.
You’ll need an active internet connection and a mobile phone with messaging capabilities to create a Yahoo account. Prepare to enter personal information such as your first and last names and your date of birth.
Make a New Yahoo Email Account
To begin setting up your account, open your device’s web browser and go to the Yahoo website.
Click “Sign In” in the top-right corner of Yahoo. This will take you to a page where you can sign in or create a new account.

Click “Create an Account” beneath the login form on the sign-in screen that appears.
A “Sign Up” form will appear. Fill in the following information for your new Yahoo account:
- First Name: Enter your first name here.
- Last Name: Type your last name here.
- Email Address: Type the email address you’d like to create. If you type “Mahesh”, your email address will be “[email protected]”.
- Password: Enter the password to use with your new Yahoo account.
- Mobile Phone Number: Select a country code and then enter your phone number. You will receive a verification code on this number so make sure it is a working one.
- Birth Month, Day, Year: Enter your birthday details.
- Gender: Optionally, enter your gender.
Make sure your password is strong. Then click “Continue” at the bottom of the form.
Fill out the Yahoo registration form.
You’ll be taken to a page that says “Verify Your Phone Number.” Check that the phone number you entered is correct, then press the “Text Me a Verification Code” button.
Click “Text Me a Verification Code.” after you’ve confirmed your phone number.
Your phone has received a verification code from Yahoo. Look through your phone’s messages folder for the Yahoo message and take note of the code.
Return to the Yahoo site and type in the verification code before clicking “Verify.”
You agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy by submitting your email.
Click “Verify.” after entering the verification code.
A “Welcome to Yahoo” notice will appear, indicating that your account was successfully established. Click the “Done” button to get to Yahoo’s home page.
Your Yahoo account has been created and is now available for use. Click “Mail” in the top-right corner of the Yahoo homepage to access Yahoo’s email service, Similarly, you get access to all of Yahoo’s other features, In Yahoo’s top-right corner, click “Mail” And that’s how you can start taking advantage of all of Yahoo’s services!
