Your Netflix password is a crucial piece of account security equipment. Naturally, it prevents unauthorized users from accessing your account, but it also helps protect your credit card information.
The best way to keep your information secure, according to experts, is to use a unique password for each website you visit and make sure it’s complex. Here’s how to change your Netflix password even if you can’t remember it in light of that.
How to change your Netflix password
The steps to change your Netflix password are the same on both computers and phones.
1. Head to https://www.netflix.com/YourAccount and log into your account, if you haven’t already.
2. In the Membership and Billing section, click Change password
3. On the Change Password page, enter your existing password and then the new one you want to change it to. There are no requirements for what your password has to contain — it just needs to be between six and 60 characters long.
4. Confirm the new password, and when you’re done, click “Save.”
A quick tip: If you select Require all devices to sign in again with the new password, Netflix will log you out of all connected devices.
How to change your Netflix password if you’ve forgotten it
You typically need to submit your current password to confirm that you actually own the account if you wish to change your password. But there is a workaround if you’ve forgotten your password.
To get to the Change Password page while logged into your account, follow the procedures listed above. Click Forgot password once there. Go to the login page and click or tap here if you have forgotten your password after being logged out of your account. Need support?

You can input the first and last name attached to the account, together with the card number you use to make payments if you can’t recall which email address or phone number you linked to your Netflix account.
