This article explains how to view and cancel all of your sent friend requests on a desktop browser, mobile browser, and the Facebook mobile app.

How to View Sent Friend Requests on Facebook Mobile

If you don’t have the iOS or Android app installed on your phone or tablet, you can still use Facebook.

  1. Open a browser, go to Facebook’s mobile site, and log in.

  2. Select the Friends icon on the menu bar at the top.

  3. Select the down arrow next to Friend Requests.

  4. Choose View sent requests.

  5. When you want to retract a sent request, select Cancel and the request will be removed from the recipient’s view.

In order to get to the screen after logging in, you can also use a search term like “m.facebook.com friend requests” on any browser.

View Sent Friend Requests on a Desktop

You can also view and cancel friend requests on a desktop browser.

  1. Select Friends from the left vertical pane.

  2. Select Friend Requests.

  3. Select View sent requests.

  4. Select Cancel Request if you don’t want the request to go to the recipient.

On the Facebook mobile app for iOS and Android, the steps to view all pending sent friend requests are essentially the same. The following instructions are for an iPhone, but we’ve noted the variations for the Android app.

  1. Tap Menu (three lines.) It’s on the bottom right of the iPhone app and the upper right of the Android app.

  2. Tap Friends.

  3. Tap See All.

  4. In the upper-left corner, tap More (three dots).

  5. Tap View Sent Requests.

  6. Select Cancel to terminate the request.
