How to Edit Friend Lists on Facebook

You can create unique buddy lists on Facebook, did you know that? Even though this option has been available for a while, many individuals still don’t use it. You can set up different news feeds for other friend groups, divide your friends into acquaintances and closest friends, and more.

Learn how to change friend lists and other helpful hints for personalizing and enhancing your entire Facebook experience in the next paragraphs.

How to Edit a Friend List on Facebook

Once you set up a friend list on Facebook, editing it is simple. Follow the steps to add more or remove some friends from your list:

  1. Sign in to your Facebook account.
  2. Select the Find Friends option from the Explore tab.
  3. Choose Custom Lists from the menu.
  4. Select the friend list you want to edit.
  5. Tap the Manage List option in the upper-right corner of your screen.
  6. You can Rename, Delete, or Add/remove the list from this menu.
  7. Tap Add/remove to choose Friends.
  8. Enter your friend’s names and select them to add them to your list. If you want to remove someone, select their name on the menu, or tap the X button.
  9. When done, you should select Save changes. The list will update automatically.

Note that the process for modifying each of your Facebook friend lists is the same. The options are the same for your custom lists, close friends, acquaintances, and restricted lists. They are available in any number you desire.

Separate News Feeds on Facebook

Using unique Facebook friend lists is the best option if you want to have various news feeds. You can filter out all of your friends or those whose postings you don’t like using this tool.

No longer is it necessary to unfollow users because friend lists handle that. These lists save you time because you no longer need to worry about deleting Facebook pals. You can take them off your list of close friends, best pals, or whatever else you choose to label it.

Additionally, you can follow pages on Facebook rather than people by using lists. You can choose which pages to include in your news feed and ignore the rest. This option is also accessible in the Edit List menu; just select Pages from the drop-down menu instead of Friends, and then pick each page you want to include.

You can view the news, company updates, memes, or anything else with a custom pages-only news feed by tapping or clicking Finish.

Blocking on Facebook

You can always block someone if you believe that adding them to a list of friends whose updates you don’t want to see isn’t sufficient. Here’s how to use a browser to edit the list of Facebook users you’ve blocked:

  1. Sign in to Facebook.
  2. Click on the dropdown arrow in the top-right corner of your screen.
  3. Select Settings & Privacy, then Settings.
  4. Next, click on Blocking.
  5. Under the Block Users section, you can see all of your blocked connections. Click on the search field next to Block Users.
  6. Finally, enter the name of the person you want to block and tap on Block.
  7. You can also select Unblock next to a person’s name if you wish to remove them from this list.

Facebook’s blocking page is helpful. You have the option to ban invitations to events and messages from both persons and applications. Additionally, you can block specific Facebook pages and persons. This page also contains the Restricted list, but sometimes limiting access is insufficient.

Feel free to block someone if they are pestering you, flooding your mailbox, or engaging in any other abusive behavior. Facebook won’t let them know about your behavior. Unless people try digging up your Facebook profile, they have no chance of learning about it.

Sort Your Friends

It’s okay to organize your Facebook pals. Unless they only have close friends on their page, no one is equally close to all of their Facebook friends. Making and modifying your unique friend lists can transform the game and enhance your platform experience.

Additionally, a clean news feed is beneficial. Additionally, there are no restrictions on the number of lists you can create. Enjoy editing lists, and report back to us on how it went.
